Emily Benoist-Ruffin - Emily Benoist-Ruffin is an AGTA Spectrum Award and NMJA Enchantment Award winner who has owned Emily Benoist Ruffin Design & Goldsmith since 1993. She lives and works in Taos, New Mexico.
Mark Gillihan - Mark Gillihan is the winner of eight NMJA Jewelry Design Awards and is designer of the New Mexico Governor’s Ring. He is currently the top designer specializing in platinum at E M Shelton, Ltd. in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mark Nelson - With 15 years of jewelry-making experience, Mark Nelson is a designer, instructor and technical support specialist for Rio Grande. He teaches jewelry-making courses and is regularly featured on the PBS television program Beads Baubles and Jewels.
Pat Pruitt - Pat Pruitt is the owner of Custom Steel Body Jewelry, where he makes cutting-edge stainless steel jewelry designs for the body piercing industry. He lives on the Laguna Pueblo Reservation in the village of Paguate, NM.
John Sartin - John Sartin founded John Sartin Designs in 2004 to find a “home and tranquility that had been lacking.” His work focuses on organic and raw-looking material that is hand-fabricated, consisting of environmentally conscious and recycled material.
2011 Second Round Judges
Robly Glover – A professor of Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing at Texas Tech University since 1987, Robly Glover is a highly decorated designer who has displayed his work in more than 152 shows and in several museums across America and in London.
Victoria Gomelsky - Victoria Gomelsky is editor-in-chief of JCK Magazine and lives in Los Angeles, California. She was named ‘Trade Press Editor of the Year’ in 2007 for her exceptional coverage of the fine jewelry and watch industries.
Pam Levine - Pam Levine founded the Levine Design Group, LLC in 1993 after a 15-year career as a jeweler, designer, and manufacturer and now serves as president. She currently lives in New York.
Robert Liu - Robert Liu has written extensively on the value of personal adornment, specializing in the history and evolution of beadwork from varying origins to modern day glass beads. He is the co-editor at Ornament Magazine, and is the author of Collectible Beads and more than 600 articles and publications.
Tim McCreight - As a decorated professor, author and metalsmith, Tim McCreight has a vast knowledge of working with metals. He is the founding director and communications officer for the Precious Metal Clay Guild, though he is perhaps best known for his many textbooks and instructional videos which are widely recognized for their clarity and breadth.
