ALAN REVERE

Alan Revere is an award-winning jewelry designer with national and international recognition as a master goldsmith. In 1979, he founded the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco and was the director and lecturer there until his retirement in 2017. Alan earned his undergraduate B.A. degree in psychology, languages and art from the University of Virginia and an M.F.A. in sculpture from the Universidad de Guanajuato, before going to Germany to study jewelry design and sculpture at Fachhochschule für Gestaltung and Goldschmiedeschule. Alan is considered one of the most influential contributors to the American jewelry industry. He has featured in several publications including JCK Magazine, Professional Jeweler, Lapidary Journal and AJM magazine. He has authored and co-authored many books: Professional Goldsmithing, Professional Ring Repair, Professional Stonesetting, Professional Setting Repair, The Art of Jewelry Making: Classic and Original Design and 101 Bench Tips for Jewelers. Alan is the former president of the American Jewelry Design Council and founder of the Contemporary Design Group.
