First Place
"Calíope"
Luis Figueroa

Quito, Ecuador

Artist Statement: "Calíope" uses stylized lines and organic forms that blend with the beauty of the gemstone, bringing us the appearance of the metal involving it, achieving a subtle integration of all the parts of the jewel. It also uses smooth and bright textures, which help the colors of the stone stand out. All these aspects joined to achieve an elegant, unique and different ring.

Second Place
"Renoir’s Desire"
Aneka Hausmann
Auburn, Washington, USA

Artist Statement: What inspired me to make this piece was my passion for working with horses and my attention to equine movement and tranquility. The name "Renoir’s Desire" actually came together from two of the horses I know, and I decided to add them to the sculpture's story.
